Trophy Hassan II, also known as the Hassan II Golf Trophy, is a European Tour tournament that has been held in Rabat, Morocco, since 1971. The 2021 and 2022 tournaments were canceled due to the global pandemic Covid-19, and in the 2022 tournament was removed from the tour schedule.

The tournament was returned home after three years as a part of the PGA Champions Tour. The Trophy Hassan II is scheduled to begin on 22 February and end on 24 February 2024 at the Royal Golf Dar es Salam golf course in Rabat, Morocco.

About the venue:

Royal Golf Dar es Salam is a spectacular 45-hole golf club spread over 440 hectares. It hosts the events of the European Tour, European Ladies Tour, and PGA Champions Tour.

History

The tournament was created in 1971 by the King of Morocco, Hassan II, under the name Morrocan Grand Prix, after the death of King Hassan II in 1999, the tournament is hosted by his youngest son, Prince Moulay Rachid, and it is named after King Hassan II.

Prize Money

The prize pool for the 2024 Trophy Hassan II is $2,000,000. Along with the prize money, the tournament winner is also awarded a traditional gold dagger engraved with jewels.
