The Chub Classic was established in 1988 under the name “Aetna Challenge” as a part of the PGA Champions Tour. The tournament has gone through several name changes and sponsors but has remained a staple on the PGA Tour Champions schedule and is widely regarded as the most popular and highly anticipated event on the circuit.
