HSBC Women's World Championship is an annual women’s golf tournament on the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) tour.

The fifteenth edition of the tournament is set to take place from 29 February 2023 to 3 March 2023, at the New Tanjong course at Sentosa Golf Club in Sentosa Island, Singapore.

Venue

The Sentosa Golf Club was established in 1982 and is regarded as one of Asia's best and most prestigious golf courses. Players have praised the course for its beautiful scenery, challenging design, and immaculate condition.

Singapore is known for its rich history and diverse cuisine making it a popular destination for tourists. The tournament offers players and fans the opportunity to experience the local culture and explore the city.

History

The inaugural event of the HSBC Women’s World Championship was held in 2008 and was won by a Mecixan professional golf player Lorena Ochoa. A British-based MNC and financial services company HSBC is the sponsor of the Tournament.

The last tournament was held in 2023 and was won by Ko Jin Young, a professional golf player from South Korea.

Prize Money

The 2024 HSBC Women’s World Championship offers lucrative prize money of $1,800,000.
